You really do not need coaching to get into a mass media course in any college. Most of them have a very basic written test (Aptitude, Language and Current Affairs), GD (Group Discussion) (if you pass the first round) and a personal interview. If you read news every day, half of your job is already done. You need to keep reading, watching and be well versed with what is happening in the world. It's really not that difficult.

Hello Purna,
It's nice to know that you are already post graduate in maths. May I then ask, why engineering now? Almost 50% of fresh engineering graduates are not finding any placements. In addition, doing engineering via distance education is illegal. I feel you should go for PhD in maths rather than pursuing this idea of engineering via distance education.

If I talk about the government exam, then SSC conducts CHSL (Combined Higher Secondary Level) per year for the posts of data entry operator, LDC, etc. You can apply for that. The salary varies from 30K to 35K per month. Or
You can apply for the private sector like banking and accountancy. They will offer 15k to 20K per month. It will depend on your skills and experience. Good luck.
