You should have completed class 12th from PCM with minimum 50% marks. There will be an English test and interview for the admission. You can apply for the application form from the month of February.

Both the courses are good. The most preferable would be M.Tech because it is in relation to B.Tech and there is a wide scope in mechanical engineering. MBA is also good but should be pursued from a reputed institute, otherwise it will be of no value. It depends on you, if you want your career in engineering or management. Also, you should try for M.Tech from institutes like IITs and other reputed institutes.

If you want to do part time / distance B.Tech you should go through Institute of Engineers India. They will provide you an AMIE which is equivalent to B.Tech and valid for all government jobs and you are also eligible to appear in GATE for jobs or admission in IIT and NITs.
