You will get CSE core in VIT Vellore but under third category. Let me explain you the admission system here. Rank in VIT to get admission should be 90,000, so you can get admission in VIT from the 6th category as well. There are various categories as well. With each category admission, fees go high. First category closed till 15,000 rank, and you can get CSE till 9000 rank and IT till 11000 rank, but there are 2nd category as well, if you want CSE, but you have to pay more for that. There is no entrance test for undergraduate courses. You will be screened on the basis of your marks in class 10th and 12th. Whereas, generally entrance tests have subjects like quantitative aptitude (mathematics), logical reasoning, data interpretation and English.
