Hello Friend,
The syllabus is same as you have studied in standard 12th level. But in your question, you have not mentioned for which competitive entrance exam you want to go for. Still, I will say you that WBJEE is the best one to go for the lateral entry exam. Here, you will simply have to fill up the application form and then if you get selected then you will be admitted in the 2nd year of engineering. The syllabus is the same as you have studied in the +2 level. Just go through the 11th and 12th syllabus thoroughly.
Best wishes.

For placements in BMSCE, a CGPA of 7/10 would do. However, some companies do have a cut-off of 8 or 8.5. So, it is better to have a good CGPA. But placements do not depend on marks alone. Aptitude, personality, knowledge and communication also matters.
All the best.

Dear NIkita,
Just try to appear both the examinations. This is because if you drop even a single paper it will be carried forward, thus leaving a mark on your score card. If it becomes a situation of choice than go for CA first. CA is equivalent to PG. Rather it is a statutory certification. It will REAP you more benefits as compared to B.Com. However, for B.Com you don't need to study separately. CA itself covers everything. I hope this would suffice. All the best and God Bless You.
