Unfortunately, I don't have much knowledge about how the MS programme structure is in UK, but I can let you know about the positive points about studying in Germany. Your course will be structured into modules which you can take whenever you want. Your Regelnstudienzeit or the standard period of the studies is 2 years but you can take upto 4 years to complete it if you are having problems coping up in the course. Side jobs are easy even for international students. At times, yes, it can be difficult but if you have a basic knowledge of German (A2), that will not be a problem anymore. I had C1 and I got the job in an engineering firm immediately. Job chances in Germany are way better after your Masters given that you have acquired decent knowledge of German and can understand the technical vocabulary (B2). In many cities, the living expenses are way less than what they are in UK. If you have a low budget, German universities might be your the smartest option, since, in most of the Masters programme, you don't have to pay any tuition fee. You, although, are required to pay a semester contribution of around 300 Euros. That means only 600 Euros per year for your course (This, of course, can vary from one University to the other).
