MIT is the best institute in the world. For getting admission in MIT you have to take SAT and TOEFL exam but this is not sufficient because the admission process is holistic means they will also see your other qualities like extra curricular activities, personal essay, family background and many more. If they're thinking about you then they don't see about your income potential. They want only talent. But the admission is very competitive like out of 100 only 7 to 8 can get admission in MIT.

Hello Aparna,
Your cut-off is not bad to get a seat for aeronautical engineering at MIT. But the competition is too high and so it is difficult to predict the chances. Try your best at the counselling. You can compare the previous year cut-off scores from the link below :
https://info.tnea.ac.in/tinfo/index.php
This year the cut off is expected to get reduced.
All the best!

For a seat in MIT, you need to work extremely hard to build your profile. You must demonstrate ability to do research, think critically and creatively. You must have impeccable academics, and diverse extracurricular activities demonstrating a significant level of engagement in them. All that said, you must understand that only 2-3% of Indian applicants get accepted at colleges like MIT. Work hard.

You can't compare a graduation level course and a post graduation course. Still, I will tell you it's you who will be paid, not your degree.
So try to be a better student and then think of salary. SRM will surely provide you a good platform but it's you who has to perform.
