A lateral entry admission is one where a student directly enters in the second year of his engineering, MCA or MBA, etc. degrees. Each degree has its own admission criterion. For example for B.Tech, lateral entry candidate must have completed a Diploma in their respective branch or B.Sc in PCM to be eligible for the lateral entry programme. Candidates after completing their Diploma, have to appear for LEET (a special examination for enrollment in the engineering colleges offering lateral entry for B.Tech). Few states conduct their own LEET examination. You've go through various rounds in order to get approved for counseling.

ACCA stands for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants a leading international accountancy body. No, it will be as good as regular graduation. This is because IGNOU is a very well established brand name in the field of distance education. People go for distance education when they are unable to go for a regular course. The only thing important is your scorecard. Work hard in your studies to keep your scorecard outstanding. However, the final decision is always yours.
I hope this would suffice.
All the best and god bless you.

Being LPU alumni, I would share the eligibility of the course. Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (engineering. ). (any stream) 3 years after 10th or 2 years after 10+2 (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Computer Science) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. LPU makes perfect sense for lateral entry as it ensures the following programme outcomes:
1: Effectively build and communicate the solutions using learnings from basic mechanical engineering, basic sciences, mathematics, and computational skills and tools.
2: Ability to design using Design of Machine Elements theories and to create prototypes using releva

If you have 10 backlogs then probably you are not meant for engineering. You might be good at many other things, but certainly not engineering. Why do you want to pursue engineering only? There are many higher education options in Canada which you can pursue. Also, most of the good Universities won't consider you unless you give them a "passed" transcript for all subjects and semesters. I'm talking about good universities. If you really have some good projects and high quality work experience, you can give it a try though.
