Ministry of Education in India had a body that regulates higher education. it UGC. UGC, like an octopus has different legs (councils), one of them is AICTE (for Tech course) another is DEC (for distance education) and so on.
Btech Mtech and even Dtech courses are AICTE approved.

IME is an autonomous body and has got nothing to do with UGC or is affiliated bodies like AICTE OR DEC. The website of almost every institute says that they have got 'n' numbers of affiliations but please please please visit official websites of UGC, AICTE etc and you will find all the institutes that have received such approvals.

Nios will not be the reason for your rejection. just see your rejection letter. Nios is an open system of education that has been adopetd in india seeing the education system of the West.
As Per what i know, nois can never ever be the reason for your rejection.
Y dont you get a 10+2 directly from any state board. its a one sitting exam in MP and Gujarat.
