Hi,
If you are interested in quantitative analytical jobs, and are interested in statistical analysis, then learn SAS.
If you are not so mathematically, and statistically oriented, and would rather be doing jobs such as project management, business analyst, then go for SAP.
I would say that SAS is more about statistics and is a reporting tool/language. SAP on the other hand is does just about everything from Human Resources to Accounting and splits
Accounting into General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable (Finance in SAP speak) and stock control (Logistics in SAP speak).
The scope of SAP & SAS is huge in India and abroad depending on the kind of organizational set up you are involved with. To add, on I can suggest you a few companies currently hiring both SAP & SAS professionals are GE,Genpact, Standard Chartered Bank, Fidelity, HSBC, HP, Accenture, WIPRO,TCS, IBM India, American, Express, Ranbaxy, Cipla, WNS, Barclays,Tech Mahindra, HCL, Infosys, and many more.
And as far as the designation is concerned after you successfully complete the course there are very well paying careesr as SAS analyst, programmer, developer or consultant. And same goes with SAP as in you can see yourself as a Business Process Analyst or Pre-Sales Consultant, Implementation Consultant or even Solutions Development Consultant.

PGDBM = Post graduation diploma in business management
PGDBA = Post graduation diploma in business administration
PGDM = Post graduation diploma in management
MBA = Masters in Business Administration
MMS = Masters in Management Studies
All of this is equivalent to an mba degree.
India has accepted the UGC format for course content and hence all UNIVERSITIES can give degrees, so they give a MBA degree, also known as MMS in mumbai.
All reputed institutes on the other hand, design their own courses according to industry feedback to gain reputation and hence they are not under the UGC, which means they cannot offer degrees and hence they offer diplomas.
The difference between all these degrees is only for name sake. At the end of the day, institute reputation matters more than the name of the degree and so you can call it whatever you want, at the end of the day. its equivalent to good ol' MBA . :)

Universities in US have 2 admission intakes in a year namely:
Fall(August) intake.
Spring(January) intake.
So first of all you need to decide, in which intake you want admission, and accordingly it is advisable to start the application process at least 6-7 months in advance of your planned admission intake.
It is always advisable to send your complete application documents to the university at least 1-2 months in advance of the application deadline.
Once you submit the all the application documents, and you meet the eligibility criteria, the university will issue you a I20.
Once you get the I20, then along with all the other financial documents you can apply for VISA, and if all you documents are correct you will be issue a student VISA.
So the more early you start your application process, you do not have to hurry up the things at the last moment.

With a Masters already in your credit and a CCNP certification too, you are well qualified to look for good opportunities in the various organizations with that qualifications; in fact you can also look forward to further Certification levels depending on your interest pertaining to any particular stream.
As for MBA is concerned, take up this course only if you are keen to make a career tranisition in the field of Management and plan your career in the same.
