You have a good chance of getting a GDPI call, as the cutoff was around 92 percentile for CMAT last year. The final conversion will depend of your performance in the GDPI round as well as your work experience and academic record. Most of the weightage is on the GDPI, so if you perform well there, you have a great chance of conversion. All the best!

You have a good chance of getting a GDPI call. Your final conversion will depend mostly on your performance in the GDPI, as 45% weightage is given to this round. A little weightage is given to academics and work experience. So prepare well for the GDPI. Best of luck!

There is no degree which is named after banking and finance. It is basically a B.Com degree. If you pursue B.Com from a reputed institution in first division, then your grades and financial condition will decide where you can do your MBA from.
In India, you must pursue MBA from a B-school which is under CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT. Top 50 colleges charge Rs.400000 to Rs.15 Lac for two year course. However, this cost would go up to $75000 to $2,00,000 depending on its ranking.
A degree from IIMs can give you very good career.

If you are not comfortable with science stream, then commerce with computer as optional, should be the best combination for you. The professional degrees are engineering, medicine, law, CA, mass communication and hotel management.
If you opt for commerce, except for first two, all other options of professional degrees will be available to you. For government, defense and Public Sector Units (PSU), one needs to be a graduate and then qualify the selection exam of the respective field.

There is again no exact weightage but equal importance is given to both. Yes, score does make you eligible, but your acads, extra curicular, work ex all will be considered before selecting you for the GD-PI rounds. Then you performance in GD-PI will be evaluated before making the final call.
