Well, if you've heard for reliable sources like The Hindu or the Economic Times it is true. The salary at the top 3 IIMs are very high.
Before I mention the salaries, let me start by saying that there are two types of placements:
The Summer Placements: These are internships and salary may range from a few lakhs to even 10,000 per month and is for a period of two to three months. This internship may turn into a full time job based on your performance.
Final Placements: The type of job you get depends on your two years you spent at IIM, your grades, your extra-curriculars and internship. Your final placement salary may range from One Crore

The last year CMAT cutoff score was 181. So depends on your score and the cut off this year. Though I didn't get your 10th CGPA ( normally we have percentages ), if it is your graduation CGPA and your 12th marks both are good to get selected provided you do perform well too in GD - PI.
Please note only CAT / CMAT / ATMA percentile and scores are considered, not SNAP.

IIM Ahmedabad does not have a CAT percentile cutoff score. They have started a system of composite score where all the inputs like 10th marks, 12th marks, UG percentage, etc are used. Then an overall score cutoff is calculated. This method has certain advantages like, if you have not done really well in 10th or 12th, you can compensate that by doing really good in CAT.
Here are two links that will give you detailed information about cutoffs and selection criteria. http://www.iimahd.ernet.in/programmes/admission-details/admission-procedure-for-pgp-2016-18-batch.html http://www.iimahd.ernet.in/users/admission/files/Shortlisting Criteria
