2. NITs.
3. VIT University – Vellore.
4. Thiagarajar College of Engineering – Madurai.
5. Punjab Engineering College.
6. University of Technology – Chandigarh.
7. Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology - Delhi.
IITs and NITs have lower fees among these colleges.

Nothing is difficult in life if you give it enough time. Same is the case with GATE. It's an exam. The syllabus is known. Type of exam is known. Select your subject, get thorough with your basics and be regular in your studies. Importantly, do not forget to have some time for fitness and entertainment. Only a healthy body has a healthy mind.

After you complete your CS, if there's still something you wanna pursue. Options are many but first, you got to decide what path do you want to walk.
If you need to get specialised in law and related fields then opting for LLB, MBL or short courses in getting specialisation like mergers and acquisitions, valuations, internal audit, insolvency professional, IPR specialist, etc. are there.
There's always the option of going for MBA.
Also, if you want, you can think of CA or CMA.

Commerce and science are the two broad categories. In commerce, you can go for arts/ design, business, finance and banking.
In science, you have engineering and medical. These are the traditional streams students choose. Some new streams are also in demand nowadays like bio-tech, nanotechnology, agriculture and genetic. Students are also moving in fashion designing and interior designing. Research oriented students can go for KVPY and get into institutes like IISC, IISERs, etc. Commerce students can go for CA.
