the subject has gained a lot of importance in the West and is making advancements in India as well at a large scale. the career opportunities are good in this field.
There are 2 intakes in a yearSep/Oct and MArch/April. The application and admission process takes about 9 months so youneed to plan accordingly. Thedeadline for Sep/Oct intake is in Jan and for March /Aprilintake is in July. Hence, youwill need to make an early application.
Once the University receives your application they may takeabout 3-4 months to inform youof the decision. Not all Univmay intimate you if your application is incomplete, hence it is your duty to ensure thatyou send all the requested documents in one go to avoid anylast minute issues.
If you do not want to apply directly or are apprehensive youtake help from UNI ASSIST. they charge Euro 55 for their service of applying to 2-3 univ.And additional Euro 15 per univ.

Education in Germany is free. Some Universities charge a minimal amount of Euro 140 - 500 per semester. Living expenses come to Euro 740 per month. You also need to appear for GRE and TOEFL or IELTS to apply to German University. The classes begin twice a year in October and April. You should start the application process at least 9 months before the class start so plan accordingly.

As every individual has a different level of capabilities and capacity to perform, so no subject is easy or difficult, it is only according to your interests , comfort and capabilities that you should choose the subject option, as this makes easier for you to score on those subjects, so keeping this in mind you can choose your options. In your case you can look at Mathematics and Electrical Engineering as options that are only if you are comfortable with these subjects.
As far as study material is concerned there is no one particular book that you can refer for these Examinations. However, For Preliminary round which will have two objective type papers which are the general studies paper and the General Aptitude Paper you would get questions from different areas so you have to read a lot of news paper informative magazines like CSR (Competition Success review), Manorama year book etc. this section will now test you more on decision making skills, logical and analytical abilities and the knowledge in the services in which you want to pursue your career rather than your subject knowledge. Since the preliminary exam is an elimination round the candidate should also learn to focus only on the information needed and filter out the rest.

In reference to you comments to Ankit's reply, I would like to mention that more than the kind of degree you opt it is important to see from which institute you are going ahead to pursue this course. Institute like NID are well known in terms of the PG program that is being offered in the required specialization.
Also any degree which is has a valid affiliation to a recognized University does hold related value so to gain job opportunities, however, job prospects and the selections will also depend on the person's caliber and skill displayed during the course tenure and after as well.

any person from class 12 to p.hd. from any field can make his/her career in game design field. there are various courses for it,for entry level I will advice you to start with some 3d or moudelling courses. however courses like b.sc (animation) or b.tech (animation) promises greater job prospect.fees structure varies from institutes to institutes.
