There is no authentic list available for better/best animation institutes in India. Usually, students consider IIT, IDC-Mumbai and NID as a dream destination for their creative careers. You can also opt to for skill development program or pursue Undergraduate/Post-Graduate Program from a decent animation school.

If you have not done good this year but you think that you perform better and if this is your confidence level then yes, you can drop a year to prepare for JEE Mains. But also remember if you are dropping a year then you have to study really very hard so that you can get a seat in IITs/NITs. This should be your aim.
