Jamia Millia Islamia is a central university and having NAAC-A grade accreditation. Admission to B.Tech courses is based on JEE (Main) ranks. If we talk about the worth of course then right from its inception, the department of computer engineering has been way ahead of the other departments in the faculty in the arena of campus recruitment. With a proper synchronization with the University Placement Cell, the department is able to achieve a recruitment of 95% on average every year. Most of the students every year have two or more offers of various reputed companies like TCS, Adobe, Arricent etc. Many students of the department of Computer engineering have also been successful in succeeding at the CAT & GATE exams every year, with some students in Iims & other reputed institutes for higher education already. There is also a group of students who have cleared the GRE / GMAT exams and are now in reputed universities abroad for further studies. The average salary for B.Tech (CS) is about 5-6 LPA. So, in my opinion, it is a good university for pursuing B.Tech (CS).

Why aren't you seeking admission for B.Tech in CS (lateral entry)? You will get admission in the 2nd year. In case of B.Tech, you will get a degree within three years same as in case of B.Sc (CS). But remember here that B.Tech (CS) has more weightage than B.Sc (CS).
The following are the few colleges offering B.Tech (CS) courses through lateral entry:
1. Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology, Greater Noida
2. IEC Group of Institutions, Greater Noida
3. Galgotias University, Greater Noida
4. Amity University, Noida
However, I am also giving the list of few colleges offering B.Sc (CS) but remember here that you will not get any benefit of your Diploma course.
