I heard that Chandigarh University provides a lot of opportunities to psychology students at Chandigarh University to attend various workshops and seminars. I heard that eminent speakers like Dr. Rajesh Gupta from PGIMER delivered sessions on CBT and psychological well-being. Clinical psychologists from healthcare institutes such as Fortis have also visited to discuss mental health challenges. Students also took part in unique activities like Psyche Fest and Tech Invent events, which included themes of past life regression, psychological testing, and mindfulness sessions. Moreover, visits to institutes like the Government Rehabilitation Institute of Intellectually Disabled and the Institute for Blind in Chandigarh helped them see the practical side of psychology. Guest talks from spiritual teachers like Karma Yeshe Rabgye Lama also added value by focusing on happiness and inner peace and more such events and seminars takes place. 

Learning psychology is not only about reading, it is also about exploring real problems. Students at Chandigarh University can join research projects as part of their course. These projects give them experience in planning, studying, and writing research. Students get to study different topics, gather data, and understand human behavior in a practical way. Chandigarh University supports Psychology students through a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical exposure. The curriculum includes counseling psychology, clinical psychology, behavioral studies, and research methodology. Students gain hands on experience through lab sessions, case study analysis, and supervised training. Workshops on mental health awareness and therapeutic techniques enhance practical skills. Faculty members with academic and applied backgrounds mentor students closely.

As far as I know, subjects which are taught in Psychology programme at Chandigarh University are: Biological Basis of Behaviour, Academic Writing in Psychology, Spirituality, Mythology and Yoga Psychology, Personality and Self Theories, and Psychology of Social Media. As students move ahead, they study Applied Social Psychology, Experimental Psychology, Music and Dance Psychology, Media Psychology, Consumer Psychology and Advertising, Communication Skill, and Design Thinking and Creativity for Innovation. The course also adds Basics of Statistics, Guidance and Counselling, Ethics in Psychology, Sports Psychology, Organisational Psychology, Artificial Intelligence and Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Psychological First Aid, Educational Psychology, and Workplace Behaviour and Cultural Influences, etc. 

First of all, let me clarify that Chandigarh University Psychology students are not subject to any particular, stringent attendance policies or regulations.  I understand that attendance must be at least 75%. You will not be permitted to take exams even if you are an excellent student if you have poor attendance. Because they didn't take this seriously, I witnessed a few students struggle. Regular attendance at classes is therefore always preferable. It protects you from last-minute stress and keeps you up to date on assignments, studio sessions, and practical work—all of which are crucial for the fine arts. Because fine arts is more about practice than theory, regular attendance also enhances learning.

Yes why not infact I wanna tell you that psychology programs comes under the Department of Liberal Arts and you know what, the UILAH department is one of the bes departments of the university. The course is designed to give you basic and deep knowledge of human mind and behaviour. You will study subjects like Cognitive Psychology, Social Psychology, Child Psychology, Clinical Psychology and more. The programme also focuses on real life learning. You get chances to do internships in hospitals, clinics, NGOs and other places to see psychology in action. There are workshops and discussions that help you learn to think ctitically and communicate well. You can also explore study abroad through the international transfer program.

As far as I have noticed, liberal arts programme at Chandigarh University is very different from a normal BA because in liberal arts students get to study a mix of subjects. The major subjects include Psychology, English, Sociology, Economics, and Political Science. They can also choose minor subjects like Artificial Intelligence, Management, Media Studies, Performing Arts, and Humanities and Social Sciences. The course focuses on communication skills with a state-of-the-art lab and practical learning through projects, discussions, case studies, field visits, heritage walks, workshops, and seminars and moreover students also get several options for semester exchange with 14+ universities or 2+2 programs
