By now with help of Aru's answer you must have ample of information about career in Animation and undoubtedly this is a huge and career oriented stream.
But as far the eligibility to gain lateral entry to a degree program is concerned, the chances are bleak as the lateral entry as an option is available in engineering domain mostly. Yet don't lose hope as there is a lot of scope from what you have already attained and in fact you can look forward to pursue further specialized courses like Virtualization, spl. effects, gaming etc.

US is one of the best study destination to pursue MS, there are many good and top ranked universities in US which offers MS various fields such as:
Electrical engineering.
Computer engineering.

In order to pursue MS is US, you need to have:
Good academic record,preferably 65%-70% plus.
Relevant undergraduate degree from recognized university.
