Hi Gaurav,
As a friend, I would advice you to think over this decision again because you are from Commerce background and changing your field will not be feasible as you have to start from the scratch again. Rather I would suggest you to go for MBA or any other course in the finance field such as CA, CFA etc.
But keeping in mind your sincere interest towards Media, I would like to answer this question for you. Media is a very broad term which includes many things such as journalism, production, direction, cinematography, advertising etc. As it will be difficult for me to explain every category of Mass Comm/ Media to you in brief, I am p

Hi Dhara,
Since GCET is a state level program it would be difficult to find GCAT specific books. As, there is no one book which you have to or can refer to for cracking GCAT, you have to consult various books for various sections of GCAT. Few of the authors whom you can consult are: Arun Sharma for Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation, O.P. Sinhal books for QA & for verbal ability you should pick up a good dictionary & a Wren & Marten book plus read a lot of Novels & Newspapers. I would also like to add here that to strengthen your Quant fundamentals you should also consider referring to your NCERT books from 9th till 12th.
Hope thi

No, it is not true, Education through distance education has value but ofcourse not as much as through the distance education mode. If you do not have any other alternative (i.e. doing through regular course), then distance education through a UGC and DEC aproved university is quite good for the career. You need to take care in selecting the right university.

Hi Shubha,
MCA Entrance Exam is a University specific test and not a CET so the syllabus may vary from University to University. However, one needs to be basically good at Higher Math, as most of the MCA Entrance Tests checks you on areas: Math, Statistics and know how of Computers. Some institutes also have Verbal Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, and Test of Reasoning and General Knowledge in their syllabus.
There are several books available in various bookstores that help you prepare for the various MCA Entrance Exams all over India. These books deal with questions on Mathematics, Computer Fundamentals and Reasoning.

Hi Suvrajit,
Although, advisable is that you should opt for a full time programme if you are planning for MBA, as correspondence programmes are generally beneficial to those working professionals who have a good amount of work experience and are looking for growth in their current organization. So, if you want to pursue an MBA (HR) to opt Human Resource as your career field I would say, go for a full time programme. On the other hand if you want to pursue a career as a Lawyer then you can opt for correspondence MBA.
Hope this will be of help. Feel free to put up more queries. In case your query is resolved please close this question by c
