They evaluate every profile holistically, there is not one thing over the other. Saying they don't consider academics but only SAT and TOEFL would be wrong. SAT, TOEFL, etc. are also very much called academics.
Everything from co-curricular and academic grades to intellectual prowess, strengths and weaknesses will be evaluated. There is no single criteria. If you have poor grades but a good SAT however nothing special about your profile they will have little interest in you. An all rounded profile is what they want.

Masters in JEC Jabalpur means, you will get practical knowledge less and theory more with just more focus on your thesis and project where you can time for other co curricular activities too.
