Many say you will get refusal as there is no Embassy interview, it doesn't make any sense for all those people who said this.
Your 12th percentage and IELTS score is perfect to get admission and visa for Canada.
With such good percentage and IELTS score, visa can only be rejected in 1 case i.e if there is no relevancy at all between your 12th subjects and the course you want to take in graduation.

Hi Maninder, a score above 6.5 would be required. You must check university websites as the requirements are different. Distance education is recognized if it is accredited by UGC but you must write to the concerned university because requirements are different as mentioned. Which course you can pursue is a decision you must take. You have done your MBA and now MA in English, so it's high time you figure out what you want and plan your career before enrolling into another course. It is better you work for a couple of years and explore your interests.

Further, taxation can be better understood in B.Com as it has two types of taxation that is direct and indirect taxation. The taxation subjects are divided in various semesters in B.Com. So at first a person can strengthen his or her ways in accounts and then more technical Topics can be stated like taxation. You can refer the curriculum of both the courses B.Com a

For B.Tech, the minimum programme duration is 4 years and maximum duration is 6 years including all backlogs. As per AICTE, after 6 years, the student is not fit for technical education. If you really want to study, you must go for various Degree courses through distance mode since it will be best if you go for a Degree course along with a job.
