Hi, first of all great to know that you want to go for Civil Services. Keep it up.
Well you have not mentioned any exam in particular like IAS or IPS or SSC, yet the examination pattern is same for all as the conducting body is one. There would be two papers in prelims- Reasoning Aptitude and English Comprehension. Followed by the main exam that would entirely be subjective.

GMAT is test which which need to be taken by the students who wish to pursue MBA from universities abroad.
Scores in GMAT are one of the important eligibility criteria to get admission in good universities.
In order to pursue MBA from good universities you need to have:
Good academic record, preferably 60% plus in graduation.
Relevant undergraduate degree from recognized university.
IELTS score of 6-7 bands plus.
GAMAT score of 500-600 plus.
2-3 years of full time work experience after graduation.

Well I would say that having 8 years of experience under your belt, idea of higher education is great as it has become one of the most popular masters degrees following which the career growth gets handy with excellent compensation packages.
You may opt for either of the two: PGD or MBA as both are lucrative and would give definitely let you enhance your work skills. Yet full time PG is preferable over distance learning MBA.
