Major disciplines in MBA, you can look for are as follows:
1. Operations: It needs analytical knowledge with fair hands on mathematics.
2. Finance: It needs basic knowledge of accounting and share, equity, credit-debit transactions.
3. Marketing: It deals with promotion and advertising strategy to convince the target customers for your product.
4. HR: It requires good communication skills to deal with your team. You need to get the best out of your team and keep them motivated.
5. Mass communication: If you are interested in media and mass communication, have good speaking skills. You can look for this discipline.
In my view ECE discipline won't be a big criteria in stream selection for MBA. Even an engineer can get the concepts of finance easily with some extra efforts. If you are good in debates and orating, then sales and marketing will suit you.

The hospitality sector is mainly divided into four basic functions:
1. Food production: As the name suggests, it is about preparing food and designing dishes.
2. Food and Beverage Service (F&B): It involves the art of serving the guests with food and drinks.
3. Front office: It is responsible for meeting and greeting the guests, organizing accommodation of guests, taking and organizing reservations, managing check in and out of rooms, passing on messages to customers and settling accounts.
4. Housekeeping: This section ensures a comfortable and appealing environment to guests at the hotel.
There are a large number of institutes and colleges that provide hotel management courses at the degree and Diploma level. At present there are 21 Institutes of Hotel Management (IHM) promoted by Central Government, Ministry of Tourism, and Government of India. There are 15 similar institutions promoted by respective state governments as well.
They have common entrance examination and admission process, but they depend on their respective governing bodies for fund and infrastructure development. Besides these two, there are about 16 private institutions, university departments and independent institutions affiliated to National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) and Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).
