Dr Abdul Kalam Technical University is the university for all technical colleges in Uttar Pradesh. This was formed in the year 2000 and Uttar Pradesh government decided that all the technical courses or colleges will be affiliated to this university. Knowing this I really do not know why you are thinking that your future will get spoilt if you do your B.Tech from this university. Let me assure you that nothing of the sort will happen and you can go on to become the best brain of the country after graduating from this famous university of Uttar Pradesh. Do not worry. What you should worry about is understanding the subject

It is very nice to see your enthusiasm even at the age of 36 to seek admission for Diploma in Engineering but unfortunately majority of the states have put a cap on maximum age upto which you can see admission to Diploma courses and this gap is invariably placed at 21 years. Thus it is clear that you will not be able to do Diploma in a regular college but perhaps you can think of doing it a distance mode education or doing degree directly by appearing to become associate member of Institution of Engineers which is equivalent to BE.

This answer could be more accurate if you specify the name college that you are willing to go. However, in general, most of the College ask for GMAT's valid, IELTS/TOEFL (if applicable). In addition to this, you need to submit LoRs, Employment history. Your VISA documents should be complete. Hope this helps.
