The Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) formally known as (ASI) is the sole professional body of Actuaries in India. The study route is that you need to clear 15 examinations, which are grouped in CT series, CA series, ST series and SA series.
Further details of all this can be found on www.actuariesindia.com. If you are looking to qualify and work as an actuary, you need to take membership of the Institute of Actuaries of India, www.actuariesindia.org, and pass a qualifying exam.
You may or may not take up a PG in Actuarial science – this is not a requirement to qualify as an Actuary. You can take the exam if you have passed Maths or Stats in Class with 85% or if you have graduated in Maths or a related subject or if you have any professional qualifications like MBA, ICWA, CA etc.

Candidates seeking admission to the undergraduate programmes, should have completed 13 years of education under the Indian system of education (CSBE/ICSE/A Levels /IB Certificate or IB Diploma).The students are screened on the basis of marks obtained in :-
1. A minimum average of 50% in class XII ( CBSE/ICSE Board)
2. Attainment of IB Diploma
Interview The admission to this program is contingent on a written test & an extensive interview process.
