In order to pursue undergraduate course in US you need to fulfill the below mentioned eligibility criteria:
Relevant 12th degree from recognized education board.
Good academic record throughout preferably 60%.
SAT score of 1800 plus and TOEFL score of 80-90 plus or IELTS score of 6-7 bands plus.
Universities in US have 2 admission intakes i.e. Fall (August) and Spring (January) Intake. So first of all you need to decide in which intake you want admission, and then accordingly start your application process at least 6-7 months in advance, it is always advisable to take SAT and TOEFL or IELTS at least a year in advance of your planned admission intake. An average tuition fee of a US university is about US$ 30,000 per-year and average living expenses are about US$ 10,000 per-year.

Hi Abhijit, If you wish to take admission for UG then here are some details that you should be aware of. Indian class 12 as such is not considered equivalent with German class 12. So Indian students are eligible to apply for a bachelor programme if they fulfill one of the following criteria:
I. Successfully completing the first year of a bachelor programme from a recognized university in India in the relevant subject field.
II. Successfully clearing the IIT Joint Entrance Examination for admission to courses in technology and natural sciences.
III. Passing the qualification assessment examination in Germany, called Feststellungspruefung
The Feststellungspruefung is an examination conducted by universities that assesses your proficiency in subjects that are crucial to your chosen degree programme and also in German language. A foundation course (Studienkolleg) in Germany can help you prepare for this examination. This is a full-time course with about 32 hours of instruction per week and usually takes upto two semesters to complete. The two components of the course are German language and subjects relevant to the study programme you want to register for later.
