Event Management being a part of Marketing, getting a marketing degree can also easily help you to get into Event Management field however, if you plan to do MBA in Marketing you should do it from a decent full time Institute like IIMs, MDI, FMS etc. as MBA would be only worth if it is done through a good institutes especially if you are a fresher as Distance learning or part time programmes are mainly for those working professionals who have good amount of work experience with them and are only looking for designation change with in their current organization.
However, if you want to get into Event Management programme, a

Before starting career in software industry i would like to ask u r u very much confidant on any of the programming language. Can u independently handle any language? If ur ans comes yes then only think for software development line or testing line. Every line is good only depends upon u how much depth knowledge u have. Sorry for giving you late reply, as thousands of queries put on this portal and at times the experts miss out on some. Anyhow, in the reply of your query I would like to mention here that The Board gives five chances to clear the compartment examination. The first examination is held in July-August followed by second chance in March-April and the third chance in July-August and so on. Unsuccessful candidates after these five attempts are required to appear afresh in all subjects there on.
As far as other cities are concerned there must be CBSE centers there as well but to get the complete information I would request you to get
