To become a commercial pilot:
1. You need to first possess a student pilot license. You must be over 17 years of age and have completed 12th in Science (Physics and mathematics) with 50%.
2. Your vision in one eye must be perfect. In general medical terminology, it is called 6/6 eyesight. In the other eye, you could have an imperfection of 6/9, which must be correctable to 6/6.

The approximate cut off for MMS is 96 percentile for both the years.
However, the cut offs vary during the Cap rounds.
And for CAT, it is around 94 percentile.

There are a number of courses so obviously the criteria are different for each course, so which course are you talking about exactly? One more thing I would like to tell you as your expert adviser is that, getting admission with 56% might be possible but sustaining is very difficult and getting a good job would be very difficult if your percentage, continues to deteriorate like this. I am not trying to discourage, but please work hard.

It is easier than Kerala State Board. How can I pass NIOS exam? Is it difficult? It is easy to pass NIOS exam as compared to other boards, Curriculum: The curriculum is similar to CBSE, NCERT has designed the curriculum for both boards but practically the NIOS curriculum/syllabus is easier to grasp as it is not that lengthy. Yes, you can pursue two courses at the same time through distance learning but I would suggest you to pursue one course through regular mode and the other one through distance learning especially engineering. I am saying so because All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has not approved engineering courses in the open and distance learning (ODL) mode.
So it will be better if you pursue your engineering through regular mode and media course through distance learning mode.
