Scope of BBA programme for science students (Class XII)

Is it a good idea for science stream students (in class 12) to pursue BBA in under-graduation? Are they in a more advantageous or disadvantageous position when compared to commerce students.

There are lot of students in my college who are Pursuing BBA and they were from Science programme. So you don't need to worry about the study programme as it is quit easy. Talking about the scope it really depends on you if you are getting Interest in The course then you can easily flourish a long way. As the course yields more of a practical and industrial knowledge.

I personally believe that scope of 12th pcm students into BBA is equally good and advantageous as compared to those coming from commerce background. This is especially good for those who even today have to take pcm under peer pressure or take pcm due to inappropriate guidance. The child only has to work hard initially for Book Keeping and Accountancy. He can easily overcome the basic that he or she has missed during the two years of 10+2. A regular coaching during the vacation time is sufficient to learn the basics of accounting. Once this is done a child is at par with those who have studied commerce in 12th. This enables a child to p

Dear Neha, BBA programme is highly underrated these days. The problem is, that most of the programme curators consider it as academic programme rather than focusing on employability. Larger part of the students in this programme over the country stud in the colleges which SEE this programme as a precursor to MBA and hence don't generally make it a professional exposure programme. There are however a lot of opportunities for BBA grads in industry. Provided the students do actually get the exposure in letter and spirit. Some great colleges like Loyola, Xaviers, Shaheed Sukhdev, Symbiosis, LPU and PU etc. Have the programme strengths in t

Yes, you can do BBA even if you are from Science college. There are as such no norms by any college if you want to do BBA after Science stream in 10+2. BBA is not hard for anyone for any stream if they come in it. Many students do another course in graduation like B.Tech, BCA etc. And then they do MBA. If you want to come in the Business Administrative field then you can go without any tension. BBA is related to Business Administrative I. e. a managerial field. You can opt for aravali college of engineering and management, Faridabad.

BBA is a multidisciplinary course thus for a Science student at the initial stage a student may face difficulties in subjects like accountancy & economics. Thus in perspective of the scope for a student pursuing BBA can go for MBA as it becomes easy for the student who pursued BBA as it is the foundation course of MBA.

BBA is a generic course, also since start up culture in picking UPAT a great speed, BBA is considered as one of the best options. BBA is 3 year programme and subject taught are Financial Management, Accountancy, Principles of Management as basics of management. BBA programme focuses on presentation and communication skills. Since first year focuses on basics so Science students have nothing to loose.

No field is good or bad. BBA is equally good if you pursue it in specialisation which is in demand like Travel and tourism or Digital Marketing. Both these sectors are considered hot cakes and they huge scope in the future. If you are interested in these courses and want to know more then I would suggest you to look for UTM-Shillong as it is one of the best universities for these courses.
