Scope of BBA programme for science students (Class XII)

Is it a good idea for science stream students (in class 12) to pursue BBA in under-graduation? Are they in a more advantageous or disadvantageous position when compared to commerce students.

For Science students the scope is vast. As you have the technical knowledge you have an edge over the others in technical knowledge and nowadays recruiter do look for your technical expertise. Market Research is also an option for you as you will be good at math and analytical reasoning.

Scope of Business management for Science students is same as for Commerce students. The only difference is that Commerce students have less trouble with the syllabus. A new trend is doing MBA after B.Tech. A lot of engineering students later decide to pursue MBA as PG.

You will get to learn about business as a whole. This will help you choose a sector you take interests in. Also budding entrepreneurs may be an outcome from BBA course. Entry level managerial positions can be expected.

Doing BBA programme is like shifting their stream so choose it wisely. If you really want to join commerce stream then only you should apply for BBA. Every stream has its own quality.

But commerce should be chosen by the students because its subjects are related to business and economics.

It does not matter whether you come from science or commerce background, what matters is that you have a BBA degree. Many students from science background do much better after pursuing BBA than any commerce background student can do.

It's a course of interest, it's not differed with the previous educational background.
It benefits to all those who are interested in making their career in different management disciplines.
It surely provides a good foundation to their MBA.
For engineers and science post-graduates, pursuing management course is definitely a plus point.

A nice question at first point, it's like doing MBA after engineering at an early stage only but it's not same when it comes to "SCOPE". A science student can do very well in BBA no doubt if he wants to but after joining BBA program his earlier 2-year study won't be useful that much but his developed skills will be helpful for sure.

BBA gets you entry-level positions in many corporations and factories. You would do a lot of backend work, and provide support services to your seniors. Exceptional candidates could expect to do some customer interface, though it is very rare. Also invariably, you would hit the glass ceiling very fast and would require an MBA to move up the ladder.
Since the degree will equip a student of BBA with the basic knowledge about corporate management and skills it will help them understand the diverse functioning of a company. BBA graduates can look for jobs in sales and marketing department of companies as members of sales teams or as

It would be better to go for a science course in degree and then do MBA. It will help you. e.g., if you have done B.Tech in IT, then MBA in will be of great help.

I personally believe that scope of 12th PCM students into BBA is equally good and advantageous as compared to those coming from commerce background. This is especially good for those who even today have to take PCM under peer pressure or take PCM due to inappropriate guidance. The child only has to work hard initially for book keeping and accountancy. He can easily overcome the basic that he or she has missed during the two years of 10+2. A regular coaching during the vacation time is sufficient to learn the basics of accounting. Once this is done a child is at par with those who have studied commerce in 12th. This enables a child to p

In my personal opinion, BBA is not good for a science students. Because corporate sector is down since lasts 5 -7 years, so job opportunity is less. On other hand, you get INR 10k to INR 15k salary job and your working hour is 12 hrs. to 15 hrs.
