Should I take maths or not? I want to go for pharmacy after 12th.

    You can take maths. It will be beneficial for you even when you go for pharma. To understand the quantity calculations and medical formulas.

    Hello Naresh,
    If you want to take Mathematics in class 12th, then you can go for it, because you can go for pharmacy after class 12th with Maths also. Eligibility for B. Pharmacy in most of the top universities is to pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Maths).

    Mathematics is just not required at all. You can take PCB and some other simple subject, it will help you score well also. And, it will help you focusing on your particularly aimed course.

    If you are okay with Maths, then take Biology, Maths. But, for pharmacy Maths is not required, Biology is enough and helpful for pharmacy. But, for long prospectus, if you are interested in competitive exams in future, Maths will be helpful. Good luck.

    Following is eligibility criteria for pharmacy courses, pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry as compulsory subjects or equivalent along with Mathematics /Biology as a third Science subject from recognised board.

    You should take Maths in class 11th for a good base in Physics, but drop it in class 12th, as it is not required.

    There is no need of mathematics, if you want to pursue pharmacy after class 12th, you can take Biology.

    If you are are going for pharmacy, then there will be no use of Maths. Only if you have a good interest in it, then you can take it, else there is no such use of this subject in pharmacy.
