What are CAT, MAT and XAT exams for?

CAT, MAT and XAT exams are all to get admission in elite and best colleges in India that provide MBA degree.

These are all entrance exams to various MBA colleges. CAT is basically for the top colleges like IIMs while MAT is for the entry to various or all the B-Schools.

CAT is especially to get admissions in IIMS, but also used for other MBA colleges too. CAT is conducted by IIM. MAT is an MBA entrance examination for almost all MBA colleges, which is conducted by AIMA. XAT is to get admission into Xavier's Institute of Management of different locations and it is also some of the other MBA colleges.

These are entrance exams conducted for MBA in IIM, AIMA and Xaviers institute of management, however these national level exams are also considered by other institutes as well.

CAT MAT XAT and CMAT are the most popular MBA entrance exams in India as they are valid for admission to a large number of MBA colleges in India.
