What are CAT, MAT and XAT exams for?

CAT is especially to get admissions in IIMs, but also used for other MBA colleges too. CAT is conducted by IIMs. MAT is an MBA entrance examination for almost all MBA colleges, which is conducted by AIMA. XAT is to get admission into Xavier's Institute of Management of different locations and it is also some of the other MBA colleges.

These are MBA entrance exams. CAT (Common Aptitude Test) is national-level management entrance test conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (Iims) and also, CAT score is accepted by other MBA colleges. MAT (Management Aptitude Test) is conducted by AIMA (All India Management Association) and XAT is to get admission into Xavier group. Also, some other colleges also consider XAT score as well.

For getting admission for MBA programme in IIMS and top B Schools, you need to be a graduate with 50% marks and above.
