At Lovely Professional University (LPU), the choice between apartments and hostels depends on personal preferences, budget, and the level of independence you desire. Hostels are typically shared accommodations where you live with other students, offering basic amenities like beds, common areas, and a shared mess for meals. While hostels are more affordable, they offer less privacy and social space, with shared bathrooms and facilities. Hostels are ideal for students looking for a budget-friendly, social living environment, as they encourage interaction with peers.

    hi

At Lovely Professional University (LPU), the selection between hostels and apartments is influenced by individual preferences, financial considerations, and the degree of independence you seek. Hostels generally consist of shared living spaces where you reside with fellow students, providing essential amenities such as beds, communal areas, and a shared dining facility for meals. Although hostels are more cost-effective, they offer decreased privacy and social space, with shared restrooms and facilities. Hostels suit those students who are searching for an economical, communal living setup, as they promote engagement with other stude

    Hello there,

At Lovely Professional University, both hostel and apartment accommodations offer comfortable and secure living options, but they cater to slightly different preferences and needs. Hostels in LPU are traditional residential facilities provided within the campus, offering shared or individual rooms with options for AC and non-AC. They come with facilities like 24/7 security, dedicated wardens, mess services, laundry, and recreational areas, making them ideal for students who prefer a structured and community-based environment. Hostels promote a strong sense of discipline and camaraderie, which many students find beneficial.

Apartments are provided with some additional facilities than in LPU hostels. The fees are also on a higher side for apartments. So, if anyone who can afford can choose to live in apartments. The fee for 4 seater hostel with air-conditioned is 62000/- and without air-conditioned is 52000

Choosing between living in an LPU (Lovely Professional University) hostel or an apartment depends on several factors, including your personal preferences, budget, and lifestyle. Here are some points to consider for each option:

Apartments at LPU = more space, more privacy, pantry to cook your own food, and a bit of a “home vibes” feel. But yeah, they cost more.

Hostels = more budget-friendly, super social (great for making friends), food and laundry sorted, and everything's taken care of.

So, if you want comfort and don't mind spending more—go apartment. If you want fun, savings, and zero hassle—hostel's your jam.

Both are solid. Just depends on your vibe.

    Greetings,

Apartments and hostels at LPU both have their own vibe, and choosing between them really depends on what kind of experience you're looking for. Hostels are more structured—you share your space with roommates, have fixed meal timings, and get that classic student-living atmosphere. They're great if you like being around people all the time, having group study sessions, and easy access to campus facilities. But there are rules, like entry and exit timings, which helps with discipline but can feel restrictive at times. On the other hand, apartments are more independent—you get private or semi-private rooms, attached washroo

Hey, so from what I've checked on LPU's official site, the NEST counselling is mainly done online, which is super convenient for us students anywhere in India. You just log in after your results, pick your preferred courses and seats based on your rank, and lock it all in digitally—no need to travel right away.
It's got this smooth flow: download your scorecard, fill choices online, get seat allotment via merit, pay the initial fee (like INR20,000) through net banking or UPI, then submit docs later. LPU makes it flexible too, letting you pay offline at campus if you prefer, but the core process stays online for quick access.

Yeah, LPU totally releases the LPU NEST counselling dates on their official site—it's super organized and student-friendly. For 2026, they've got it starting February 8th onwards for B.Tech, with online seat preferences from Feb 8-10, results on 12th, and admissions up to late Feb. Results drop quick, like within 24-48 hours post-exam, so you can jump right into counselling without waiting forever.
It's all online mostly, through nest.lpu.in, where you update choices and get allotments based on your score—makes it easy from anywhere. No offline hassle unless you want campus visits for fees. LPU keeps everything updated live, way

Yes, it is actually very much required to bring along Class 10 and 12 certificates or at least mark sheets during the LPU NEST counseling, primarily because the university explicitly would wish to establish the age of applicants from the Class 10 marksheet and verify eligibility with the Class 12 certificate/marksheet before confirming admission and awarding a scholarship.

at LPU NEST counselling, you would have to check the result & rank, fill and lock online course/seat preferences, get the allotment of the seat based on the rank and choices, pay to secure the seat by paying the initial fee, and go on to upload/verify documents and pay the remaining fee within the stipulated time for final admission.
