Dear Abhay, Both Apartments and Hostels are good at LPU. Lovely Professional University has the largest Residential Facility in India for its students coming from all over India and abroad. Several options to fit your budget and need right are on offer: Right from One Seater AC apartments in many avatars to shared AC rooms to shared Rooms with coolers etc. To Dormitory. The fee for all options is different and depends upon the room/facilities opted by the student. If you are opting for Hostel Facility you will get some standard deliverables like some free electricity units per person/per session (based upon the kind of room opted), Iro

It depends on the requirements like Privacy, budget, location and facilities for a student to decide whether they would be more comfortable in an Apartment or a Hostel as an accommodation. While each of the different options have their benefits. Based on your requirements a student has to pay for the accommodation. LPU residential Facilities are indeed exceptionally well organised and maintained. The hostel administration here is very cooperative and caring. Hostel residents are permitted to keep Electrical Kettles, Electrical Irons, Steamer, Laptop, mobile charger, shaving set, trimmer, hair straightener and hair dryer. Basic essentia

    Hello!
Apartments are more organised and provide more privacy where as hostels have their own benefits. Both are good. Free Wi-Fi, hygienic and nutritious vegetarian meals, 24 hours security,24 hours power, proximity and access to academic resources like library, classrooms, labs etc. To make the stay of the students a pleasant one they are constantly involved by organizing various celebrations, events and activities likes cultural activities, sports, debates and declamations. Various competitions are organized where students from different hostels compete with each other. Apart from this, various clubs and forums work inside the host

There are certain points that you should consider before coming on any decision. Well in my opinion and as per my brother experience at LPU premises both facilities are highly maintained, clean and lively.
    1. You have no option but to eat the food within in mess only if you opt for a hostel. While in an apartment you can either opt for a tiffin service or cook yourself. Food is the basic need and all of us want it to be the BEST!
    2. If you are reserved and very personal about your belongings you can go for an apartment otherwise the hostel will be a good place.
3If you want a spacious room then go for apartments definitely. More space i

The only difference between LPU hostel and apartments is charges as well some extra facilities like in apartment you can make food by yourself and in apartments they provides two room separately in that you can use one for bedroom and another for study purpose.

Quiet Environment: If you prefer a quiet environment to focus on your studies or have a peaceful night's sleep,  renting an apartment might be a better option for you.

More Storage Space: Apartments typically offer more storage space than hostels, allowing you to keep your belongings organized and easily accessible.

When considering accommodation options at Lovely Professional University (LPU), students weigh the benefits of hostels versus apartments. Hostels offer a social and affordable experience, with shared rooms and communal facilities ideal for meeting new people. However, they may lack private space and storage. In contrast, apartments provide a quiet environment, separate bedroom and study areas, and the freedom to cook own meals, but come at a higher cost.

Ultimately, the choice depends on individual preferences. Students seeking a budget-friendly, social atmosphere opt for hostels, while those prioritizing peace, privacy, and independenc

    Hi,

At LPU, hostels are shared living spaces designed for students, offering basic amenities like beds, study tables, and communal bathrooms. They provide an affordable living option with more social interaction and supervision.

On the other hand, apartments are more private and spacious, typically consisting of individual rooms with shared kitchen and living areas. They offer greater comfort, privacy, and flexibility but come at a higher cost.Whether an apartment is better than a hostel depends on personal preferences, budget, and the desire for privacy versus community living.

    Thank you.

In LPU, residentials such as hostels and apartments provide the residents with a different feel. Hostels are halls where people can sleep in sharing certain amenities; they are cheaper and more communal than hotels. They are well suited to the students in their search for cheap and communal accommodations. On the other hand, apartments are individual houses or rooms for living that are more spacious, comfortable, and closer to complete privatization than houses; such forms are preferred by those who like solitude or, in some cases, privacy. Apartments provide an immediate resource in the form of a fitted kitchen, annex where a living r

Hey, so from what I've checked on LPU's official site, the NEST counselling is mainly done online, which is super convenient for us students anywhere in India. You just log in after your results, pick your preferred courses and seats based on your rank, and lock it all in digitally—no need to travel right away.
It's got this smooth flow: download your scorecard, fill choices online, get seat allotment via merit, pay the initial fee (like INR20,000) through net banking or UPI, then submit docs later. LPU makes it flexible too, letting you pay offline at campus if you prefer, but the core process stays online for quick access.

Yeah, LPU totally releases the LPU NEST counselling dates on their official site—it's super organized and student-friendly. For 2026, they've got it starting February 8th onwards for B.Tech, with online seat preferences from Feb 8-10, results on 12th, and admissions up to late Feb. Results drop quick, like within 24-48 hours post-exam, so you can jump right into counselling without waiting forever.
It's all online mostly, through nest.lpu.in, where you update choices and get allotments based on your score—makes it easy from anywhere. No offline hassle unless you want campus visits for fees. LPU keeps everything updated live, way

Yes, it is actually very much required to bring along Class 10 and 12 certificates or at least mark sheets during the LPU NEST counseling, primarily because the university explicitly would wish to establish the age of applicants from the Class 10 marksheet and verify eligibility with the Class 12 certificate/marksheet before confirming admission and awarding a scholarship.

at LPU NEST counselling, you would have to check the result & rank, fill and lock online course/seat preferences, get the allotment of the seat based on the rank and choices, pay to secure the seat by paying the initial fee, and go on to upload/verify documents and pay the remaining fee within the stipulated time for final admission.
