    IIT JAM and GATE Exam are national-level entrance exams for post-graduate programs at IITs, NITs, and IISc Bangalore. IIT JAM is a common entrance test for admissions in Masters courses such as M.Sc, Integrated Ph.D. , Joint M.Sc-PhD, and M.Sc-PhD Dual Degree whereas the GATE is a national-level exam that provides admissions to the master of technology programs such as ME, M.Tech, and Ph.D. courses. The IIT JAM Exam covers 7 subjects, whereas the GATE Exam covers 29. IIT-JAM Eligibility Criteria:
    Bachelor's degree in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics) for three years from a recognised university if you have appeared

    Through IIT JAM one can take admission only into I. T's, N. I. T's and ISC whereas through the GATE the choice of colleges is wide. You can choose colleges other than the I. T's and N. I. T's.
