What should i do? MBA or MS?

background :Engineering,4.5 yrs exp -IT. GRE :1110 Want to pursue MBA , through GRE , but feel score is low. any hope for good UNiv in US or restake is a must?. or shoudd I take CS in database sie, as whole my IT exp in in technical.

    Hi,
    Both the course you mentioned i.e. MBA and MS, are the good course to pursue and both these courses offers good career growth.
    It depend on your interest and liking, that in which field you are more interested, if you are more interested in technical field than you can pursue MS.
    If you think that you have more liking towards management fields, then you can opt for MBA.
    In order to pursue MS from good university in US, you need to have:
    Good academic record, preferably 60%-70% plus.
    Relevant undergraduate degree from recognized university.
    GRE score of 1200-1300 plus.
    TOEFL score of 85-90 plus.

    If you are looking for job in the technical field, then you may opt for MS and if you are looking for a management role, then opt MBA

    After 4.5 years of Experience , its advisable to opt for MBA but again it will depend on which area you have experience in , if opting for higher studies in some area of CS adds value to your Experience then MS in that area is advisable .
