    It's the top 5 IITs and then top10 NITs as they are government colleges and are simply the best. Other top colleges include some state government colleges like Jadavpur University, West Bengal and some top private colleges like BITS-Pilani, BIT-Mesra, VIT and MS Ramaiah, Bangalore.

    All IITs, NITs and many state government college is good to pursue B.Tech but to get admission in these reputated institutions, you must have to clear the exam conducted by examination body ( JEE Mains -NITS, advance -IIT, WBJEE, UPSEE).

    You can first consider IITs and BITs and then go for government colleges like DTU, NSIT and NITs. After all these universities you can consider Dhirubai University, Nirma University and Thapar University.

    First of all, you should try for these institutes as they have great value in the field of engineering:
    IIT
    NIT
    MNIT
    IIIT
    BITS
    However, if you fail to achieve them then don't worry and try for some private or other government college.
