Which branch of engineering is better, IT or ECE?

Both the branches are good, you need to study the market first and scope and rest depends upon your choice and interest.

Both are good branches. It depends in which field, you have more interest. -
IT has more job than ECE. People from ECE after engineering don't go to core company as they shift to IT company as it has more demand right now, but knowledge in ECE is better than IT. If you are job oriented, then you can go for IT and if you have interest in electrical field, then you can go for ECE. -
go for ece with this branch u will open up options for government jobs like IES. If u r having interest in IT u can do some advance computer courses, there are online courses available as well. IT engineer can never become ece engineer but u will find on many occasions ece engineer doing IT job -
Right now computer science and IT branch are the hotshots of the market and are very promising. New age jobs in the IT sector surely carry a charm as they offer high initial packages and also carry a scope for growth.
