Which college is better for B.Tech CSE in terms of academics and placement: LPU or SRM, Chennai?

LPU is best at all in terms of education, infrastructure, faculty members, placement, extra co curricular activities etc. I have done my graduation and post graduation from the LPU and LPU is one of the great place for education where the management actually believe on actions rather than words. Whatever they promised they delivered to us along with in campus placement at good package and best time of life.

I think LPU is better than SRM due to the fees and all. LPU has good placements as well.

LPU is the best engineering college in Punjab for CSE. Lately, number of admissions in CSE department have been increased rapidly and has become one of the popular courses among engineering aspirants. It focuses on the basic elements of computer programming and networking. Well, the study of CSE in LPU is very good. CSE is one of the branches in LPU having wonderful placements. Most of our students get placed in reputed companies with few opting for higher studies. Special inputs in the form of placement classes are given to students to hone their skills and prepare them for placements.

If you have a good budget, then nothing is better than SRM. It is one of the best private college with good faculty and placement.

In my opinion, I feel LPU is a much better option for B.Tech CSE. Thou both the college are best and giving the best in every possible way. But if we SEE overall and look at the records, the placement of LPU is high and every year thousands of students apply for admission in LPU just for this course just because of LPU placements and their innovative methods of teachings. And currently, the LPU ranking has also gone high I read that the Faculty of Engineering jumped to the 66th position this year while the Management school is ranked 37th across India in NIRF Rankings 2021! also, I read that A few days back, 11 students got placed in amazon with CTC up to 30LPA. Similarly, 8 LPU students are now interning with one of the world's the largest semiconductor manufacturers, Infineon, with a CTC of up to 13.75 LPA. Then 5 LPU students bagged packages up to 20 LPA at PlaySimple. And There are uncountable examples like these from the past few years; these were just a few of the recent ones I remember. And if I talk about the academics at LPU, well the best part about the LPU is they're way of ahead of many universities because of the university infrastuyre they have best high tech labs and faculty members from IIT, IIIT, NIT moreover LPU provides placements classeswhere students get trained for placements and interviews and many other things. Overall I feel LPU has much more to give and exposure and opportunities for this course in LPU is endless. I hope this helps :). .

I will try to answer your question to the best of my knowledge. Talking about Lovely Professional University, I was student of CSE here in LPU. LPU has a collaboration with Google to provide specialisation Android courses to the B.Tech/IT/CSE/Engineering students. LPU provides free training on SAP Business Suite to the students leading them to the SAP Consultant Certification. LPU has a tie-up with VMware IT ACADEMY for giving students and faculty exposure to products like vSAN, sphere, NSX, Workspace, Airwatch and cloud, including certifications. LPU was ranked SECOND by Hacker Earth leaving behind most IITs among more than 5000 universities, from all around the world. LPU students designed and created India's 1st Solar-Powered driverless bus which was featured in various national media and which made a maiden run in the Indian Science Congress 2019 held by LPU, which was inaugurated by The Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi. And many more, with great placement opportunities, there is a very good holistic environment for one to study and get ready for the corporate world while sharpening your skills and knowledge. The placements at LPU are almost unexpectable. Someone gets a really good package while some get very less, it depends upon your portfolio and the interview. Mostly, the interviews matter a lot. If you did well over there you will definitely get a good job. Recently in the Amazon placement drive, 15-16 students got a package in the range of 11-16 Lacs and it's a good package, Tanya Arora she got 42 LPA from Microsoft. But at the same point, there are some companies who took the students at the package of 3.5-34.5 Lacs. There will be many placement drives conducted by Tech Mahindra, Samsung, Koni Labs, Hitachi, Honda and many more. It depends on how you perform. Innovative and productive environment, more emphasize on practical sessions with the benefit of having ragging free campus.
