Chandigarh University is doing well in placement.

Students from Civil Engineering have received good offers. Big companies like l&T constructions, Afcons Infrastructure Ltd, Gammon Engineers and Contractors, everest Industries, Simplex Infrastructures, Saint Gobain, PvT Ltd, Ultratech Cements, and McDermott International hire CU students and offer very amazing salary.

And you know what the university has a special department called department of career planning and development(DCPD). This department is fully dedicated to students success. It helps with interviews, aptitude tests, group discussion and industry exam.

Hey! I was in the same boat a while ago, trying to decide between LPU and Chandigarh University for Civil Engineering. After doing a lot of research and talking to seniors, I ended up choosing CU—and honestly, I'm glad I did.

What I liked most is the kind of exposure CU gives. They've tied up with UltraTech Cement and even set up a Centre of Excellence on campus. We actually get to work on real construction-related projects and learn things that go beyond textbooks. It feels more practical and industry-relevant.

They also have this Geoinformatics & Remote Sensing Centre with PRSC, which is super helpful if you're into smart city

Chandigarh University is also recognized well in terms of engineering because of its rankings, faculty, infrastructure access, and international accreditations, such as ABET and NBA. Such kinds of accreditations tell that the university is adopting global standards in education and skills. Actually it is also the only private university in Punjab to have such credentials. The curriculum is updated according to the industrial needs and covers all highly demanded important areas. The university has even ranked #231 in the QS World University Rankings in 2025 by Subject for Engineering and Technology. This proves that it has very good ove

The Civil Engineering program at LPU provides an engaging learning environment. It has a strong industry-focused curriculum that is updated frequently to reflect new developments in technology and standards, such as artificial intelligence in construction and intelligent transportation systems.

Through site visits, workshops, and real-time design projects, the program's highly qualified faculty—many of whom have extensive industry experience—dedicate themselves to experiential learning. Modern facilities at LPU, such as well-equipped labs for soil mechanics, structural analysis, and concrete testing, offer a practical learning envir

I'd personally lean towards Chandigarh University—especially when it comes to placements and industry exposure. What I found interesting is that CU has recently tied up with UltraTech Cement and even launched a full-fledged Centre of Excellence right on campus. That means students actually get to work on real-world projects, learn about sustainable construction, and connect with professionals from the industry.

They've also started a Geoinformatics & Remote Sensing Centre in collaboration with PRSC, which is amazing if you're interested in smart technologies used in civil projects today.

Placement-wise, CU's support is strong. They tra

Chandigarh University starts focusing earlier on practical learning. Site visits, live construction work, and real time projects are an integral aspect of students' courses. These experiences help in understanding civil engineering. There are also continuing tie-ups with major companies for training and hands-on exposure. For example, an MoU was set up with Ultratech Cement where students learn about new building materials and sustainable methods. Another collaboration with Punjab Remote Sensing Centre helps students explore geoinformatics tools. These things build strong skills and confidence. Because of this strong practical base, co
