    the world cannot run without energy.
    petroleum is the top since its discovery.
    world can run without computers but can't without oil.

    In this globalised world, every field has its own demand.Every field shows their importance in the economy. Petroleum or computer Science both are preferable.Choice is upto you to select for your career. Which is your passion among these, make it your career.

    Both of these branches are equally good and have tremendous job opportunities. But yes, it also depends on the student how much he understands the stream and increase his skill sets. Personally I would suggest, you should first of all check your interest and then the job opportunities of that stream. Petroleum is known as highest paid engineering branch whereas CSE is evergreen, so both are good. In CSE, institutes like UPES Dehradun,UTM Shillong have a wide range of specialisations to choose from. So you have an added advantage there to focus on the area you would like to get specialized in.     U have to select which location u want to b get settled. like if u r interested to b in bangalore computers is best . or for petroleum gulf countries r best also Mumbai is best . so decide it now after that go ahead

    Most of the people will say both. But, the fact is more demanding is computer science. Go and check the statistics of demands, you will get to know the truth.

    in my words computer science is best, because its a digital world so in future its give very good opportunities. but automobile, civil,EE,EC, all branches is best Ok

    see Demand depends upon the vacancy n as per my opinion every year their are lots of students shown their interest n taking admission in computer n that's y the chance of vacant is quite low.,.

    computer Science though best but don't forget its seats are firstly filled in counseling and from the last 4-5 years all are running behind these. these had made a large amount of engineers jobless. so if you do it from a good college then its best for placement but don't expect a large package because there will be many like you available. but if you go for petroleum then its a unique less opted branch. and you can secure job here that also with a good package.
