Which is a better option among pursuing B.Tech in computer science from LPU and pursuing BCA from VIT?
-
VIT has an age old name, legacy and heritage, it is a respected college, but LPU is no less in fact it is an easy choice to make as LPU is miles ahead of all private universities in the country in all parameters which matter. LPU has achieved in last 15 years what big names have not been able to achieve in 50 years: The trust of students all across India as well as Internationally. Curriculum: LPU curriculum is designed in exhaustive consultations with industry and is upgraded every semester depending on the feedback received from the employers of current students.
Technologies: Large number of technologies are a part of curricula like...more -
As an education consultant, I am keen to know what is offered in various institutes. Both the institutes are performing good but when it comes to B.Tech CSE, I find LPU as the right place because the curriculum have been designed primarily to suit the needs of the students who aspire to be the future engineers, managers or entrepreneurs. LPU helps in developing analytical, communication and decision making skills of students which are considered to be an important. Keeping in view the employment potential, in-depth knowledge is provided to the students through department electives in computer networks, artificial intelligence, database...more

First of all, you must have clarity regarding the aspect that both B.Tech and BCA are having different eligibility and fee structure with B.Tech having vast academic scenario and if you ask me about between LPU and VIT, both are premier higher institutes. But as per the feedback from aspirants both B.Tech and LPU is a fruitful combination is terms of better future perspective, as LPU is a university with great infrastructure for overall growth and strong placements.

Firstly,
I want to clarify the difference between the B.Tech and BCA. BCA or Bachelor of Computer Application imparts knowledge about computer applications whereas B.Tech CSE trains students for computer engineering. BCA is of 3 year duration and B.Tech is of 4 year duration. BCA makes you adept at the application level of computers whereas B.Tech makes you proficient at the technical level (Software, Hardware, applications etc.)
If we talking about the institute, LPU or VIT, both the institutes are doing well at their places. However, if talk about B.Tech CSE, LPU has more scope. The curriculum, pedagogy, infrastructure and the most im...more -

* I believe, I can answer the same in best possible way because I am in consulting business since long. Both LPU and VIT are doing well in their own periphery in terms of varied aspects like Placements, Curricula, Industry Interface and all. However, LPU is having clear edge in terms of Infrastructure, Resources, Diversity, Campus Life, etc.
* What I heard from trusted resources, LPU is very aggressively working towards Industry Interface in form of Guest Lectures, Curriculum Review, Workshops, Live Projects, etc. In the recent past LPU established varied Industry Supported Labs and Skill Development Modules for which LPU have ties wit...more -
Dear Students,
Good education is very important for all of us. It is the process of achieving knowledge, values, skills, beliefs, and moral habits. Bachelor of Computer Application BCA is of 3 year and 6 semesters programmes and Bachelor of Technology (computer Science)-B.Tech CS is of 4 year and 8 semesters programme. If we talking about the institute, LPU or VIT, both the institutes are doing well at their places. But if talk about B.Tech CSE, LPU has more scope.
*According to my knowledge, LPU is good platform for B.Tech CS. LPU sets the record of the highest Engineering Placements in North India for Three consecutive years. LPU alumn...more -
Dear,
Well, as my cousin did B.Tech in CSE from here and she got placed in Cognizant with good salary package. So, I can give you the insight of LPU that why it is the best for CSE.
1) In LPU, the faculty, infrastructure and facilities are excellent as IITs.
2) In LPU, due to tie ups with 700+ leading companies such as SAP, Cognizant, Microsoft, BOSCH, CISCO, GOOGLE etc. , the syllabus of courses are vetted and inspected by these company professionals in the beginning of every semester for earlier placement preparations.

Hi there,
Yes, LPU conducted LPUNEST entrance test for its various programmes. However, it depends upon in which stream you want to take admission. For many UG/PG programmes such as btech, B.Sc agriculture, law, management etc. test is mandatory for both admission and scholarship purpose. For some other courses such as computer application, BBA, hotel management, Bsc IT, commerce, arts etc. test is only for scholarship purpose .

Both Chandigarh University (CU) and Lovely Professional University (LPU) are known for engineering, but if we think of Electrical Engineering, LPU appears better in many ways. As a student, I personally feel that LPU has a very practical approach to learning. Their labs are state of the art, and well-resourced, and I find that the faculty usually support us to work on real-time projects, which build confidence to take on challenges in industry. The university brings many industry professionals for guest lecturers, and have affiliations with top companies in the world, so this gives students a greater opportunity for internships and pla
Dear reader,
Taking admission at LPU is a great choice. LPUNEST is their own entrance and scholarship exam.
The candidate's merit rank on the test and the courses and specializations they selected during the online preference submission are the main factors used to assign seats for LPU NEST counseling. The availability of seats in the selected programs is another factor that affects allocation.

I hope this information helps.
