Which is a better option among pursuing B.Tech in computer science from LPU and pursuing BCA from VIT?

B.Tech of course is a better option than BCA. LPU provides ample amount of opportunities to the students in terms of placements, extra curricular. LPU focuses on the overall growth of the students.

Lovely Professional University is really a great option for BCA. Many of my juniors are from BCA in the hostel. They all told some points of reference for the BCA in LPU. LPUs course curriculum is in line with industry requirements. Additionally, skills gained through hands-on experience with internships at international brands make our students highly employable. BCA Student Placed In Amazon At 3.65 LPA. Cognizant, which is a globally recognised brand for providing IT Services recruited 13 of our MCA students at a package of 3.3 LPA. Admit Chauhan, Baljeet Singh, Rahul Gupta, and Jeba Parveen have been placed in KPIT at a package of 3.25 LPA. Tech Mahindra is one the of leading MNCs that originated in India. Tech Mahindra selected 2 LPU students at a package of 3.25 LPA.

LPU provides quality CSE education with industry experienced faculty members, high-quality infrastructure, at an affordable cost with various scholarship programs to the deserving students. With various great opportunities and platform for students in the CSE branch to learn and develop themselves to take in the corporate world. Recently, 3 students were recruited by Amazon at the package of 28 LPA for their AI Skills. That is like 2.33 Lacs per month. In addition, the same company Amazon is again coming to LPU as a Joint Campus drive with the same package of 28 LPA as on end of March 2019. It really does come down to the knowledge and skill the students possess and how well he/she is able to perform in the placement drives. However, the courses in LPU does take care of these aspects while making their students get ready for the corporate world. On an average CSE, the student is recruited at a package of 3.5 LPA until 6 LPA on an average.

Dear Simar, I would suggest to opt for B.Tech as compared to BCA as B.Tech is a professional degree whereas BCA is a regular degree. LPU is one of the best universities in the country with good placements, highly qualified faculty and good infrastructure. They are having good rankings from MHRD. The university sees to this that the students are able to do well in placement drives for which it provides extra inputs to the students. As is the tagline of the university "Transforming education", so they really have transformed it by offering scholarships to meritorious students thereby making quality education affordable to all. So, I feel you should give a careful thought before deciding and then decide upon this that which university you would join. Check the website for more details. Good luck.

Which course you want to pursue is totally depends on your interest. If you want my opinion then I will suggest you to go for B.Tech at Lovely Professional University. Every organisation or company requires to be present digitally, be it banks, hospitals, education, or railways. Computer Science and Information Technology are one of the most evergreen professions and will continue to rise in the years to come. My brother has completed B.Tech CSE from LPU, current working with Amazon, sharing his experience:- He told the study of CSE in LPU is very good. CSE is one of the branches in LPU having wonderful placements. Most of our students get placed in reputed companies with few opting for higher studies. Special inputs in the form of placement classes are given to students to hone their skills and prepare them for placements. Certainly, LPU is the best engineering college in Punjab for CSE. Lately, number of admissions in CSE department have been increased rapidly and has become one of the popular courses among engineering aspirants. It focuses on the basic elements of computer programming and networking. Professors are easily approachable in the college and are well experienced. They are very supportive of all technicalities.
