Hello, The importance of Computer Science/IT cannot be undermined in the current times. This single branch of engineering has undergone a sea change and offers a myriad of career prospects to its students. Lovely Professional University is one of the best universities to pursue B.Tech. Since its quite evident that, you are interested in Software Engineering course let me tell you the major difference between B.Tech. CSE & BCA course at first. BCA course teaches one about computer applications but it doesn't cover coding in detail whereas B.Tech Computer Science is all about coding. This Coding Topic is actually acted as a differentiate at the time of Placement. In B.Tech Computer Science course major topics include in depth knowledge on Data Structures, Operating Systems, Computer Architecture, Database Management Systems and Digital Circuits & System. If you are eligible, in my opinion you must opt for B.Tech. CSE r

LPU is a well renowned university, providing quality education, innovative pedagogy and unbeatable placements both national and international. LPU provides a great academic exposure to its students. It provides a chance to the students to attend guest lectures or workshops, so that they get to learn as much as they can. The students also work on live projects, so that they are able to apply their knowledge to practical settings. It is one of the few that has embraced international practices when it comes to designing a curriculum. Instead of using old school books and lectures, LPU has experimented with books, interactive problem-solvi

Among VIT and LPU, in my opinion you should go for VIT, because of placements and studies.
All the best for your bright future.

BCA is not a big degree as B.Tech. The popularity of B.Tech is not just because of job scope, but also for the level. BCA is not equal to B.Tech remember that.

If you are seeking admission in computer science and engineering branch then I would like to refer VIT as the first preference. It is one of the most reputed private colleges after BITS-Pilani. It is the best option in every context whether it is the environment, placement, fest, exposure or anything else. It is far better than LPU.

To get admission into the PhD programme at Lovely Professional University (LPU), here's how the process works:

You must meet the eligibility criteria: typically a Master's degree in a relevant field with minimum 55% aggregate marks (UGC norms) or equivalent. In certain disciplines, candidates with a 4‑year Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of industry / teaching / research experience and 75% marks may also apply. However, candidates with certain valid qualifications are exempt from the entrance test: e.g. those who have cleared UGC‑NET/JRF, CSIR‑NET/JRF, GATE, GPAT or have done M.Phil (in regular mode). In their case, selection is ba

Hi there,

Yes, LPU conducted LPUNEST entrance test for its various programmes. However, it depends upon in which stream you want to take admission. For many UG/PG programmes such as btech, B.Sc agriculture, law, management etc. test is mandatory for both admission and scholarship purpose. For some other courses such as computer application, BBA, hotel management, Bsc IT,   commerce,   arts etc. test is only for scholarship purpose .

I hope this helps,

Thank you.

Both Chandigarh University (CU) and Lovely Professional University (LPU) are known for engineering, but if we think of Electrical Engineering, LPU appears better in many ways. As a student, I personally feel that LPU has a very practical approach to learning. Their labs are state of the art, and well-resourced, and I find that the faculty usually support us to work on real-time projects, which build confidence to take on challenges in industry. The university brings many industry professionals for guest lecturers, and have affiliations with top companies in the world, so this gives students a greater opportunity for internships and pla

Dear reader,

Taking admission at LPU is a great choice. LPUNEST is their own entrance and scholarship exam.

The candidate's merit rank on the test and the courses and specializations they selected during the online preference submission are the main factors used to assign seats for LPU NEST counseling.  The availability of seats in the selected programs is another factor that affects allocation.

For more information kindly contact their concerned department.

I hope this information helps.
