Which of these is better: BE in Computer Engineering from MIT, Pune or BE in Computer Engineering from PICT, Pune?

Both of these colleges are pretty good in terms of the quality of education which they provide. Pune Institute of Computer Technology (PICT) was specially founded for imparting education in computer science and IT. It provides only three courses in B.Tech which are computer engineering, electronics and telecommunication and information technology while MIT provides degrees in almost all conventional branches. Talking about academics, PICT has an edge when it comes to CSE and IT. I have some friends pursuing IT there who confirmed upon this. The quality of education is pretty good. MIT also is a well-reputed college and has a high demand for CSE and IT. Apart from that, MIT is known for its extra curricular activities and campus life as such. I would suggest going through the syllabus of both the colleges and taking into consideration factors like location, campus, and future goals before making a decision. I would suggest you consider VIT, Pune also. It is better than MIT and almost same as PICT when it comes to CSE. Best of luck.

In my opinion, both the colleges for computer engineering are good but still, PICT is better because it has a good faculty. PICT also offers good workshops but there are less extra curricular activities in PICT such as technical events, sports, and other events. In PICT, there is no playground and only the academic response of faculty is good but in terms of other activities except study, both the colleges come under the University of Pune so the syllabus is also same. In both, the colleges, attendance is mandatory. The teaching staff of PICT is better than MIT-Pune. In MIT-Pune, workshop and the extra curricular activities are more active than PICT. Placement for computer engineering is better in PICT, most of the students have got their jobs in the campus recruitment of PICT and got placed in different well-known computer companies. finally, if you are very much interested in the study except other hobbies then for study and placement, PICT is good and if you have little more interest in the study as well as hobbies then go for MIT=-Pune.

No offense to any college or its staff, I would share my opinion here. I think, PICT, Pune would be a better option between the two of these colleges. PICT is a well-known college for its placements of computer engineering department. But, this doesn't mean that, MIT, Pune is not good. It is also a very good college for pursuing computer engineering. Recently, MIT, Pune has become a university. For engineering, it is MIT School of Engineering. One of my friends was going to take admission in MIT College, but he rejected just because of its expensive fee structure. Now, this college is not a part of official CAP rounds of Maharashtra's engineering colleges’ admissions. I won't go in deep to compare the value for money. Cut off for computer engineering in both of these colleges is pretty high, where PICT is having slightly higher. Every year, students of PICT get a very sound salary package. So, just looking at placements, one can conclude that PICT, Pune should be preferred over MIT, Pune.
