A B.Sc. CS graduate is a software programmer armed with the knowledge of scripting as well as programming languages like C, C+, Java, HTML, PHP, etc. Whereas B.Tech graduate has detailed knowledge of both hardware and software. B.Tech is far more advanced version of B.Sc itself as there is more exposure, more internships and more hands on projects. B.Tech. Is a four-year undergraduate programme; B.Sc. Is a three-year undergraduate programme. You must check your eligibility for both the programs to decide. In any case, LPU is there to help you out with its solid track record on programme delivery and placements. Over 600 companies visit

it is better to go for B.Tech instead of B.Sc (CS), because of following reasons:
    1. In B.Tech CS you will study core subjects which forms the basis of computer Science. So if you want to be scientist it is better to study subject from basics.
    2. B.Tech CS is practical oriented course while B.Sc CS is theory oriented course. Now if you want to be scientist it would better if you are perfect in practicals.
    3. B.Tech CS will give you more opportunities as it has everything to study from basics to latest technologies and developments.
At last decision will be yours but you have to take it carefully by thinking from every point of view. It is

HiB.Sc. Computer Science is a 3 year undergraduate specialisation course in the field of computer Science, teaching the various aspects of computer Science and its applications which includes programming, software development, etc. It also involves software development and testing, networks, programming, etc. B.Tech CSE is a 4-year undergraduate engineering course on practical and theoretical knowledge of computer hardware and software. The minimum eligibility for this course requires passing class 12th/ Higher Secondary Examination in Physics, Mathematics, and English with a minimum of 50% marks. B.Tech according to me is a more profe

It purely depends upon your interest. But outrightly, B.Sc. Computer Science is 3 years of Graduation course while B.Tech is 4 years of Graduation course after which you will get Engineer's Degree. B.Sc. CS will teach you about computer application but won't focus much on coding. So, if you are interested in coding, cloud computing etc. Then B.Tech is right choice for you. Hope it helps.

It all depends upon your choice. But as per my view B.Tech is better than B.Sc. Because B.Sc. Computer Science is 3 years of Graduation course while B.Tech is 4 years of Graduation course after which you will get Engineer's Degree. B.Sc. CS will teach you about computer application but won't focus much on coding. Rest is your own personal choice.

Hi Deepak, If you want to become an Academician then B.Sc. Following by M.Sc. And Ph.D. would be a perfect way to become a professor in a reputed university. If you are technical freak and want to make your career in an industry then B.Tech would be fine and maybe the opportunities and possibilities to earn more is with B.Tech only. But the fact is you need a good university to support you with best academics. I would recommend LPU which has CSE as its flagship course and it has received National Employabilty 2020 award for Best placements. It offers not only best academics but also scholarships on various scales. Seats are filling up

It is an advanced version. In my opinion a student should go for B.Tech. Programme for more growth and success and Lovely professional university is one of the best universities which is offering both these programmes.
