Hi there, it is not compulsory. But if you have already qualified these tests, then that score is valid for admission. However, LPU conducts it s own entrance exam as well - LPUNEST.
  • No, not at all , No CAT/MAT etc are required as due to COVID-19 LPU has relaxed eligibility norms and exempted the aspiring candidates from any kind of test

No dear for the admission in MBA tourism and Hospitality the eligibility criteria for the same is "55% + LPUNEST/CAT/MAT/XAT/NMAT/CMAT+ Interview "
so, if you have not appeared in any National level test. Then you have to appear in LPUNEST which is National level test for Eligibility and scholarship conducted by LPU.
The duration of the test is 150 minutes (2:30 hr.) and it consists of 80 objective type multiple choice questions (MCQs). subjects are Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning, General Awareness and Quantitative Aptitude . As the alumni i can suggest you that You must take at least one entrance exam at LPU, whether it is the CAT, MAT, XAT, or LPUNEST. Although it is stated on their website, you must verify the minimum marks required in any of these tests in order to be considered for MBA admission. After that, if you do not fall into any scholarship categories after taking any National Level Entrance Exam, you can apply for scholarships based on your graduation grades. you can also visit the site for detailed information.

As per my perspective, I do not think so there is any compulsion to give CAT, MAT, and XAT tests for admission in MBA hospitality and tourism at LPU, but LPU has eligibility criteria that you have to fulfill for getting admission in LPU.
These are the eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam)
Pass with 55% aggregate marks in bachelor's degree (any discipline) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST or CAT or MAT or XAT or NMAT or CMAT and Interview.
