As per my perspective, I do not think so there is any compulsion to give CAT, MAT, and XAT tests for admission in MBA hospitality and tourism at LPU, but LPU has eligibility criteria that you have to fulfill for getting admission in LPU.
These are the eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam)
Pass with 55% aggregate marks in bachelor's degree (any discipline) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST or CAT or MAT or XAT or NMAT or CMAT and Interview.

No, you are not need to take the aforementioned tests in order to be admitted to the LPU MBA programme.
If you have not taken these exams, you must qualify in the LPU-NEST exam in order to be admitted (after clearing Interview).
In addition, you can apply for a scholarship based on how well you do on the LPU-NEST exam.
The Eligibility Criteria for taking admission in MBA (Tourism and Hospitality):

No, it is not compulsory to take CAT, MAT, or XAT for admission into the MBA in Hospitality and Tourism program at Lovely Professional University (LPU). LPU offers multiple pathways for admission to its MBA programs, including this specialization.

For MBA aspirants who have not appeared for national-level management entrance exams like CAT, MAT, or XAT, LPU provides its own entrance test, LPUNEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test). LPUNEST serves both as an entrance test and a scholarship test, allowing students to qualify for admission and avail of scholarships based on their performance.

No, taking the CAT, MAT, or XAT is not required in order to get admitted to Lovely Professional University's (LPU) MBA program in hospitality and tourism. This concentration is one of several admissions tracks that LPU provides for its MBA programs.

LPU offers its own admission exam, LPUNEST (Lovely Professional University National admission and Scholarship Test), for MBA candidates who have not taken national management entrance tests like CAT, MAT, or XAT. Based on their results, students might be eligible for admission and scholarships through LPUNEST, which doubles as an entrance exam and a scholarship examination.

You can appear for LPUNEST and qualify it for admission. However, LPU does consider CAT MAT XAT score valid for admission. At LPU, the MBA in hospitality and tourism management programme is meant for the students looking for a leadership role in the tourism and hospitality industry. The course focuses on the development of language skills for academic writing: the language of analysis, evaluation, discussion, description, and reflection.
This course explores the geography of the culinary world with particular reference to the origins and diffusion of the worlds major staples and their relationships with regional cuisines and tourist si

As the alumni i can suggest you that You must take at least one entrance exam at LPU, whether it is the CAT, MAT, XAT, or LPUNEST. Although it is stated on their website, you must verify the minimum marks required in any of these tests in order to be considered for MBA admission. After that, if you do not fall into any scholarship categories after taking any National Level Entrance Exam, you can apply for scholarships based on your graduation grades. you can also visit the site for detailed information.

No dear for the admission in MBA tourism and Hospitality the eligibility criteria for the same is "55% + LPUNEST/CAT/MAT/XAT/NMAT/CMAT+ Interview "
so, if you have not appeared in any National level test. Then you have to appear in LPUNEST which is National level test for Eligibility and scholarship conducted by LPU.
The duration of the test is 150 minutes (2:30 hr.) and it consists of 80 objective type multiple choice questions (MCQs). subjects are Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning, General Awareness and Quantitative Aptitude . There will be no negative marking for wrong answers or unanswer

With a 300 SC category rank in CAT, your chances for NIT Trichy MBA are relatively high. Based on 2025 data, NIT Trichy generally shortlists SC candidates with CAT percentiles around 60-65. To achieve a 300 rank under SC category, you would need about a 65-70 percentile, or a score of roughly 60-65 marks out of 198 in CAT 2025, depending on difficulty and normalization process. Final selection is also based on interview, academics, and work experience. Yes, you are fairly within touch, but I would encourage you to have a solid overall profile as well to increase your chances of admission.

JIIT CDOE MBA on the other hand, is offered based on the minimum aggregate of graduation.  However, for the final admission, candidates must meet the cutoff rank or score and must secure valid scores in accepted entrance exams such as CAT.
