Now let's go into the nitty gritty on Game Design. To become a Game Designer, you must get a good knowledge of 3D software as well as preproduction. Usually in Games the environment is created in 3DSMax and Character animations in Maya, Only the models are made with less polygons and more textures. So choose a program that teaches you these software. It would not matter whether the programme is called game design programme or not. Rest, to become a level designer you must have a passion for game design. Also you must have passion for playing all kinds of games including card games, dice games, sports etc. The 3rd option is Game Design (it's different from Game Designer), where you design the game itself, i.e. what happens on each level, and how things go about as well as the base story of the game. It is a stage that you reach due to your vast knowledge and passion and even exceptional technical skills cannot help you reach. This is usually the story designer. May I ask, have you ever designed a game? Finally, to do game programming you would require knowledge of programming in which usually a BTech/MCA would help. Typically game programmers usually would be knowing C#, Java, Android besides at least a Game Engine. Since you have spent only first year, I think it is best not to waste any more time studying whatever you do not wish to. But, MAKE SURE that you do not make a wrong decision this time. Consult your elders at home and get the opinion of the placement coordinator at your institute. If there is a counselor at your institute , please consult him immediately. Do you really wish to study geography, and geography only. Any inclination about geology or astronomy ? Ask your seniors and elders. Are you preparing yourself for the future IAS examination- by getting aware of the current national and international affairs, the how and why of the Legislative, Executive,Judiciary, the Indian Penal Code, the Criminal / Civil Procedure Code etc.

With PCM combination of subjects, you can pursue almost any field you set your mind on. You can ofcourse do Engineering which is a professional degree and has streams such as Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic and Communication etc. You can do your graduation in subjects of your interest, even switching to Humanities or Commerce streams if you so desire. You can do a BCA (Computer Applications), BBA (Business Administration), Law, Civil Aviation – Pilot, Astronomy, Architecture, Design, Mass Communication, Merchant Navy, Defense Forces, Psychology, Civil Services etc. To decide on the course, you should analyse your strengths, career goals, interests, personality, aptitude and ability. If you decide based on these parameters you will put in your best effort and will be successful.
The admission to the Diploma Engineering Courses is made through the Joint Entrance Test. Candidates who qualify the JET are eligible to apply for admission to various courses being run in the affiliated institutions of the Board. The admission to these institutions will be based on the relative merit of the candidates in the JET in their respective category. You have all necessary requirements to join in BBA/BBM. It's not as "super tough" you believe. Actually, from my experience it's much easy compared to engineering. There's nothing you have to byheart, you can relate everything to real life, and bring in real life examples. There's nothing to fear if you are joining in a good college.

No. FMS Delhi only accepts CAT or GMAT score.
Eligibility for this year was - Candidates applying for admission to the Two Year Full-Time MBA must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline after 12 years of formal schooling with at least 50% marks (SC/ST:- Passing marks; OBC/PwD/CW- 45%) or equivalent to CGPA, as per CAT 2014 advertisement requirement. Candidates appearing for the final year examination of Bachelor's Degree examination may also apply. Admission to MBA (Two-year Full Time)at FMS will be based on personal interview, group discussion/extempore and CAT-2014 score .FMS considers CAT score for shortlisting for further rounds.
