A candidate interested in giving IAS exam needs to have the following qualifications: 1. Candidate must hold a Bachelor's Degree from any of the recognised universities. 2. It's indeed very heartening to know your dream of working as professor in an engineering college. For this I would advise you to do ME / I am.Tech rather than MS. After this you must register yourself for PhD. It can be done after getting a job also but it should be on your horizon.
